HirePower provides recruitment services that respond to the needs of both employers (“Clients”), and occasionally applicants, by helping to place the right person in the right position. Personal Information supplied by you is used by us to consider and evaluate your qualifications for either permanent or temporary employment with HirePower or one of our Clients.
We seek and confirm your consent to use your personal information. If you subsequently supply further personal information it is assumed the consent we originally received is applicable to personal information supplied at a later time, provided the purposes are the same. Consent may be expressed (in writing or verbally), or it may be implied, such as when you send us unsolicited personal information, in paper copy or electronically. Your consent can be withdrawn if you notify our Privacy Officer in writing. We do not sell any lists or resumes and will not correspond with you unless you indicate you wish to receive correspondence from us.
For the purposes of this policy, personal information means information about an identifiable individual. Examples such as your name, address, , contact details, qualifications, education, work history, skills, aptitudes, resume;, salary/benefit information, date of birth, and SIN number. It will also include information we derive about you through the administration of skills, personality or aptitude testing.
Resumes are accessed by our recruiters, human resource professionals and Clients who have enlisted our assistance with a search. Your resume; will not be shared with a Client without your consent, which could be written or electronic consent.
Limiting Use, Disclosure, Retention
The personal information disclosed to Clients will be all the personal information required to make an informed decision. HirePower retains your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected and to comply with applicable laws. You may choose to have your Resume; or personal information removed from our records at any time. When personal information is no longer needed, it will be destroyed, deleted or erased from our records in a secure manner with due regard to the sensitivity of the information.
We rely upon you to notify us of any changes in your personal information that you consider important, in order that we can keep your personal information up to date.
HirePower makes all commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that personal information collected from you is protected against loss and unauthorized access. Personal information is collected and stored in a secure manner by HirePower. Access to your personal information is restricted to selected HirePower employees or representatives. In addition, HirePower employs generally accepted information security techniques, such as firewalls and access control procedures, to protect personal information against loss and unauthorized access.

Our employees and associates are informed about the importance of Privacy and each is responsible for the personal information within his or her control. Our Privacy Officer is responsible for coordinating our compliance with both federal and provincial privacy laws.
